Orthodox Syrian Sunday School Association of the East is a spiritual
organization functioning in all the parishes of the Malankara Orthodox
Church throughout the world. It takes care of the spiritual nurturing of the
children, by bringing them up in the knowledge and fellowship of Jesus
Christ and His Church. It has separate wings for Outside Kerala Region
(OKR) and for the East Asia Region (EAR). O.S.S.A.E (EAR) caters to the
need of Sunday Schools in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia,
and other countries in the East Asia Region. The classes are conducted for
the children.
The classes range from Kinder-garden and Preparatory to the twelfth
(Vedapraveen Diploma). We follow a curriculum, prepared, and published by
O.S.S.A.E (EAR) following guidelines from O.S.S.A.E, which is adapted to
the academic, social, and spiritual needs of the students in the East Asia
Region and is revised from time to time. The Sunday School conducts
Orthodox Vacation Bible School (OVBS) and is a very vibrant activity of the
O.S.S.A.E. The movement publishes textbooks, devotional materials,
songbooks, songs, and animations for the OVBS every year. The
headquarters of O.S.S.A.E is located in the complex of the Devalokom
Catholicate Aramana, Kottayam.
